El gegant representa el notari i diplomàtic català Ramon Frederic Vilana-Perles oriünd d’Oliana que va moure els fils de la Guerra de Successió. Es representa com una figura solemne de caire protocol·lari que enalteix el personatge en qüestió. L’escultura del gegant s’inspira en el quadre del mateix Vilana-Perles. El vestuari segueix la moda europea entorn de l’any 1730: casaca de vellut, barret de tres punts, corbatí… així com la perruca blanca amb rulls i acabada en una trena embolicada. Quant a la iconografia, al pit porta l’escut de Comte del Sacre Imperi Romà, a l’anell porta l’escut de la vila d’Oliana i al bastó l’escut de Marqués de Rialp.

The giant represents the Catalan notary and diplomat Ramon Frederic Vilana-Perles from Oliana who moved the strings of the War of Succession. It is represented as a solemn figure of a protocol nature that exalts the character in question. The sculpture of the giant is inspired by the painting by Vilana-Perles himself. The costume follows the European fashion around the year 1730: velvet coat, three-pointed hat, bow tie, as well as the white wig with rollers and finished in a wrapped braid. As for the iconography, on the chest it bears the coat of arms of the Count of the Holy Roman Empire, on the ring it bears the coat of arms of the town of Oliana and on the cane the coat of arms of Marqués de Rialp.
